Start with the right information.
These links open a prepared email with the basic facts the Local needs. Review the message, attach the actual document, and add anything important before sending it.
Request representation
Start the request with your name, department, meeting date, who called the meeting, and a copy of the written notice.
Start representation email →02Report a pay issue
Give the pay period, schedule, actual hours worked, leave used, overtime worked, rate of pay, and the specific payroll entry in question.
Start pay issue email →03Send a merit notice
Include every page and the exact date and time it was received. Some merit review periods are measured in hours.
Start merit notice email →04Ask a retirement question

A clean packet saves time when time matters.
A pile of screenshots is not a case file. Keep originals, dates, complete documents, and a factual timeline so the Local can identify the issue and the deadline quickly.
Keep the original notice, complaint, order, email, text message, payroll record, or benefit letter
Record the date, time, sender, recipient, and method of delivery for every important document
Save the policy, merit rule, job description, schedule, or agreement cited by the employer
Write a factual timeline while events are fresh and separate personal knowledge from information reported by others
List witnesses by full name, assignment, and what each person may know without coordinating statements
Send complete documents with every page visible and keep a copy of everything provided to the Local
Open the guide for the issue.
The merit PDFs remain in the Merit Commission Center so this page does not become another duplicate document pile.
